Ski Conditioning Class
For three fall seasons in a row, I led a HIIT strength and plyometric class geared toward prepping the snow sport athlete for the winter season. There was a solid showing of committed middle-aged athletes who worked nearly as hard as they gossiped about where the latest pow stash was. In 2016, I became certified as a personal trainer, and then in 2019, I became certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). As all my clients (and friends and family know), I believe strength training is a must for all athletes despite age or sport preference. It was my joy to work with the skiing community of Palo Alto to spread the shred and get psyched for a winter with happier knees and more resilient bodies.
